The Plummer Home will be hosting its Winter CD Release Party in the Opus Underground on Sunday, December 6th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. The event will feature performances by Plummer Home & On Point kids, as well as Salem’s Own The Dejas…Plummer youth have experienced trauma beyond what most of us can imagine. One of the tools used to help kids move forward from these experiences is music.

North Shore Community Development Coalition, in partnership with Opus, will host an evening out at the Opus Underground, which North Shore residents and stakeholders are invited to attend to learn more about North Shore CDC’s recent investment in Salem. Complimentary appetizers by Opus and drinks by North Shore CDC are included with a recommended donation.

Understanding the amount of time, effort and money that can go into planning any event, Opus has decided to provide area organizations with the foundation for the evening – including a private room, light appetizers and one-on-one guidance from their experienced staff to plan and execute a truly successful fundraiser.

Help Karlie & the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Karlie Angelis is a soon-to-be junior at Manchester Essex Regional High School and the leader of Team for Teri. Karlie was in elementary school when her mother, Teri Angelis, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Karlie and Team for Teri have decided to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Team for Teri will be walking in the Greater Boston Walk this September. ​If you want to help Karlie raise money for Team for Teri, please join us at Hale Street on Tuesday, July 21st between 5:00 and 9:00 PM.

Serenitee’s Jeff Cala & Chef Jake DiSilva of Latitude 43 have teamed up to create a four course menu highlighting underutilized, local seafood. Each course will be thoughtfully paired with “underutilized” wine varietals, to offer fresh ideas for seafood & wine pairings. A portion of the proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Maritime Gloucester.
